This book is about a girl named Amy who has a deep secret that she can t even tell her bestfriend because of the dangers.Her secret can t even be discussed with her mother She is scared and alone in this world where no one can help her now.But then, people come after her so she has to tell someone She tells her boy friend To find out the secret you have to read this book Its awesome.This book has you guessing throughout it Its a mystery book Now that she s discovered the secret about her past, Amy Candler is trying to deal with the reality of who she is Having an overprotective mother doesn t help So Amy is thrilled when her mom is swept off her feet by a handsome man But appearances can be deceiving Amy starts getting bad vibes about her mother s inquisitive boyfriend She starts fighting with Tasha, her best friend, who dismisses her worries She starts meeting with the elusive Dr Jaleski, who may be able to help her but only by putting his own life in danger She starts searching for other perfect girls just like her This time it s up to Amy to protect herself and those she loves before it s too late Amy has promised her mother that she will not tell anyone the her secret But the pressure of try to be someone she is not, and not being able to talk to anyone about it is taking it s toll on Amy and her best friend, Tasha Tasha knows something is going on but she starts to think Amy is just not her friend anyAmy is happy when her mother starts dating a really nice guy Could he be too nice This is the second in the Replica series, my new lunch time reads They are fast reads and lots o Amy has promised her mother that she will not tell anyone the her secret But the pressure of try to be someone she is not, and not being able to talk to anyone about it is taking it s toll on Amy and her best friend, Tasha Tasha knows something is going on but she starts to think Amy is just not her friend anyAmy is happy when her mother starts dating a really nice guy Could he be too nice This is the second in the Replica series, my new lunch time reads They are fast reads and lots of fun There isdanger in this book but it is still suitable for tweens and teens I am looking forward to the next in the series Amy is not your normal girl.she can do anything we can, but to the extreme A fantastic book for anyone to read it was a really good book with twisted plot and real exciting.i couldn t put it down cause it was so good Pursuing Amy, had a very weird ending that I personality didn t like I felt that there should beto it and her mothers boyfriend should have been caught Besides that I really liked the writing and the way the characters were wrote You could tell that Amy achieved something in the end, and improved from the beginning of the book I wouldn t lie I couldn t put this book down it made me think, and it allowed me to life and become the character I can t wait to go and get the third book. I loved this series growing up, but the local library only had the first few books in the series, so I never got to finish them Now that I have a way to read them all, I have restarted the series, and I love it just as much as I did the first time around Part of that may be nostalgia, but I think most of the credit goes to the fun, fast paced story. Pursuing Amy is book 2 in the Replica series but it is the first one that I read I have read all but 2 of the 24 books in the series After reading 22 books, I didn t find it necessary to read book 1 And based on a reader review of book 24 on another site, I chose not to read the last book in the series The premise is engaging and the excitement of the story carries you through But the style of the writing is for younger kids, even though all the main characters are teenagers As an example Pursuing Amy is book 2 in the Replica series but it is the first one that I read I have read all but 2 of the 24 books in the series After reading 22 books, I didn t find it necessary to read book 1 And based on a reader review of book 24 on another site, I chose not to read the last book in the series The premise is engaging and the excitement of the story carries you through But the style of the writing is for younger kids, even though all the main characters are teenagers As an example the author often puts in narative that reminds the reader of what happened in previous titles in the series This can occur in adult books too but here Marilyn Kaye does it a bit too much I stayed with the series because I wanted to find out what happens to Amy I gave most of these 3 stars and a few 2 stars but overall I liked the series Now that Amy Candler knows about her special abilities, life has been a little harder Instead of being able to show off and make everyone gasp in awe, she has to limit her abilities just in case anyone untrustworthy saw her Amy now thinks life is really tough but things get even tougher when she starts to get in a fight with Tasha and their friendship is in jeopardy.Amy s mom has gotten a new boyfriend, and Amy isn t sure if this is making things better or worse She s glad that her mom is i Now that Amy Candler knows about her special abilities, life has been a little harder Instead of being able to show off and make everyone gasp in awe, she has to limit her abilities just in case anyone untrustworthy saw her Amy now thinks life is really tough but things get even tougher when she starts to get in a fight with Tasha and their friendship is in jeopardy.Amy s mom has gotten a new boyfriend, and Amy isn t sure if this is making things better or worse She s glad that her mom is in love, but she doesn t know who to talk to about her secret Now Amy wonders if she should tell someone if she s a geek But who can she trust and how can she make sure she s not putting anyone in danger PURSUING AMY was a pretty good sequel to the amazing first novel in the Replica series But when I finished the book, I was somewhat disappointed It didn t really seem like this book had a real plot just a bunch of subplots However, the ending was amazing It was surprising, and it leaves us determined to find out what happens next

I was born in New Britain, Connecticut, and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia I also spent a year 5th grade in Montgomery, Alabama, and a year in Ann Arbor, Michigan 8th grade As a child, I always wanted to be a writer, but I had lots of other ambitions too I wanted to be a teacher, a librarian, a movie star, the president of the United States, and a ballerina I didn t achieve all my goals I never became a movie star, the president of the U.S., or a ballerina But I ve been a teacher and a librarian and most of all, a writer I ve been writing for as long as I can remember Growing up, I always kept a diary I wrote poems, stories, plays, songs and lots of letters Writing wasn t easy for me, but it felt natural and right.I ve always read a lot, too I was an English major at Emory University I love Shakespeare , and I also received a master s degree in library science at Emory I earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Chicago, and I taught children s and teen literature at St John s University in New York for over 20 years Now, I m a full time writer, living in Paris, France the most beautiful city in the world.
